Do you have Peachtree installed on the same computer?
If so, we highly recommend installing the programs on separate computers because it uses a different version of Betrieve which causes numerous errors in EasyACCT (and vice versa).
What task are you performing when you receive the error?
If you are encountering the error while in a company, do you get the error on other companies?
If so, try rebooting the computer where the data is stored. Run a Data File Index Repair and attempt the task you were performing when you received the error
Is the data on a network?
If so, try copying the data to C:\EASYW\DATA and attempt the task again.
