Bookkeeping for businesses out of state

I am starting a bookkeeping business but have out of state inquiries. They want me to start QB for them and have no problem buying a copy. I have Accounting Premier 2010.
They want to do invoices, etc. but want me to do everything else. From what I understand, giving them a accountant's copy is not going to work. These are tiny companies that would not want to pay for the QB Online.

Can I do this via logonmypc.com? How does that work? Do they sign up and then I can work on their computer remotely? Or do they log on to my computer remotely and log into their business in QB on my computer? 

 In this day in age, this seems way more complicated than it needs to be.

Yes, you can do through logmein. They would have to sign up for it & pay for it. Yes, you work remotely on their computer provided that the computer is turned on.
Actually you can set it up either way, they log into you or you log in to them. I prefer loging into them.

I don't want them logging into me because I'm often working on something else, and when they log in, you can't work at the same time. That, and having them login to my system is a security problem for all my other clients. I often use logmein to login to their computer, or QBOE.

I guess I didn't realize that I could use remote access through QB. This seems a thousand times easier. Is there a reason that people use logonmypc.com over the remote access?
