Bookkeeping Billing Rates
I am starting up a bookkeeping business and am trying to determine what I should bill my clients. Is anyone willing to share their rates? I want to be competitive but don't want to sell myself short.

I charge a rate for just a one time visit of $40 per hour.
If I am doing long term contract work (doing work on a daily basis ongoing) - it can go from $15 (which is WAY too low and I'm not doing that anymore) to $20.
I'll be interested to see what others are charging because I'm not comfortable with these rates.

I charge the same, between $20-40/hr depending on what the client needs.
Hi,
I charge between $55-105 per hour, depending on the services and the condition I receive the data in. I have found that these are typical rates for my area and I have no problem asking for these rates. I do, however, prefer to charge a flat rate versus hourly.
Hope that helps.
I charge $45 per hour. I feel that is a competitive rate for the level of work I provide. I am fast, efficient and accurate and my client's are happy with the services I provide.
