And what happened, all should have matched from the first download.

This is our bank that is not listed in QB bank set up, newer bank not MAC friendly. So to have the statement downloaded to QB, I went to the export tab on my banks account It asks what file type to download. So I selcted the QB format, it exported, and since my QB biz was open, QB saw the export and automatically imported it. Then I did it again the next day. It re downloaded the previous information as well as the new info. Q=How do I delete the duplicate dowloads? and how do I stop duplicate downloads. Thank you for reposnding, I reallly appreciate you for this.

Once they are in the correct register QB will not reimport the same transactions, the download will consist of every transaction in the date range, you may or may not have the option to select the date range from your bank. The transactions in the wrong account will have to be deleted however QB should not have automatically matched transactions that were not in the register.

Hate to tell you thiss...but it did match the previous tansactions. I will double check. But 99% sure.

If QB matched the wrong account then you had identical transactions in both accounts prior to the download.
