I'm not clear what you're trying to do or why you're asking, so I'll offer some suggestions.
If you're writing checks to the bank, you can set the bank up as a vendor and enter the details there.
If you are setting up a bank account, you can enter info about the routing number and account number if you're doing online banking in the chart of accounts.
If you want to print the info on checks, you'll need a 3rd party app--QB prints checks on pre-printed checks which already includes the bank name & info.

The name, address, phone number, etc is needed for example when I fill out a credit application. I have to dig for this info. Shouldn't this be info in Quickbooks somewhere? Or, what if I need to call my bank? Where is phone number?

The solution
If you set the bank up as a vendor, you can enter the info there. If you are just setting the bank account up, in the Chart of accounts there is a box for description where you can enter the info.
