Balance Sheet Cash---Help
The cash balance on the year end Balance Sheet does not equal to the December 2006 bank reconciliation. I have tried changing from accrual to cash basis; however the amount is the same. Any suggestions??? Please help!

Sometimes things get posted after the fact.
Try looking at the discrepancy report located in Banking, Recon, Locate Discrepancies, Discrepancy Report.
It should tell you what activity took place after you reconciled the bank account.
Hope this helps.

Has the 'reconciled amount' changed, or just the ending balance?
I think that discrepancy report only shows discrepancies with the reconciled amount. (?)
I have found that, sometimes, the reconciled balance does not change, but changes are made to the uncleared checks/deposits and, therefore, the balance sheet (total amount) will change.
If you have Premier version, you can print your rec report with the changes. Otherwise, you will have to manually look for what has changed.
Hope this helps,

Is the beg bal of the cash acct correct? Check it against last yr ending b/s.
Check the dates, make sure something is not posted as December of 2007, I have seen a few of these wrong year but you can reconcile the account etc, just balance does not agree.
You may have voided a check after the reconciliation.
