And the question is?
Dusty
Dusty, No question, just a comment I think. On maybe in someways, some of the software issues of late, are leading them to believe some things are going in that direction? Just a thought.
Thanks VDM. I thought maybe they had a question. I have not had any like that so far.
Dusty
Seems to me, from what I have heard and seen around here, when it comes to the IRS, Intuit and improvement, that a few steps forward and one back here or there is not that out of the norm. But I guess it's kind of that way with everything, right?
Dusty, Well at least you were the first to answer, you'll get the extra points right. It should be about time for a new vacuum anyway.
I filled in 5329 with amount not taken, program figures 50% tax and then puts it on 1040 but puts "no" beside line 58 like the 5329 does not need to be filed. and gives me an error and won't let me e-file.

So far I agree with this statement.

What error do you get?
Dusty

You need to enter both the required amount on Line 50 and the amount taken out, which your question indicates is zero, on Line 51.
Remember that Roth IRAs do not require a minimum distribution.
Called tech support. it's a error in the latest release. They said thay would fix it with the next release, maybe Thursday.
