Backing up MAC data to a Windows file

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2010

Can you transfer a Mac version data file to windows? My client uses the Mac version of QB and when creating a windows backup file the data in the windows backup is not the same as what is in the Mac.

In MAC, under File menu, choose Back UP to Quickbooks for Windows.

Save the file, and restore in QB for Windows.

Please note that you need to tell your client not to change anything (adding / deleting transactions) in the QB data file until you have made your changes and restored back the datafile to the Mac computer.
