are 2010 and 2012 compatible

US QuickBooks Premier : 2012: Retail

is it possible for my accountant  to open my 2010 file with her 2012 accountants program? We origianally thought that we were having a password problem but she believes that 2012 QB can not open a 2010 file, is it possible and what are the steps in doing this?

Yes, you can open a 2010 file (from QB Pro or Premier) in QuickBooks Accountant 2012.  But, she cannot make changes and send it back to you. Go to File > Open or Restore
