Withdrawal Date used of April 16 for balance Due on E-filed Return submitted by Associate was accepted but got message back regarding April 16 date??
What was the message? Does your state recognize the 16th as tax day or 15th.

The Return was accepted by the IRS but there was a message regarding use of the 16th date. Banks are open in Tennessee on the 16, So question is will the IRS withdraw the funds on the 16 or not due to the fact that we got message regarding using the 16 for withdrawal of Funds. 16 is Holiday In DC but not in Tennessee

Take this for what it is worth.
I don't ever schedule withdrawls that close to the deadline. If something happens (they have some information stolen, the close an account, etc) between the time the return is filed and 4/16 the withdrawl from the IRS or the State will fail. Then, there is no time to correct as the notice it failed is mailed. The client is not late with his or her payment and there is penalties and interest.
True story. I switched banks one year and this happened to me. I forgot about the automatic withdrawl. I set mine up for April 1st. I received a letter from both the Federal and the State about April 6th and mailed in the balance due.

Dusty, did you speak withdrawl or without drawl?
Or do you use a withdrawal?

Yes

It was not a return I did but one by an associate who also uses the Professional Version
We alwlays schedule ours for April 10th or nearest business day. This gives us a few days to correct or mail - like Dusty. I would guess that the IRS will try to withdraw the first business day (in DC) before not after scheduled date.

In a discussion with Tech Support there appears to be a problem between Intuit and IRS as they have additional problems where the Form 9325 says in block 5 they cannot withdraw the funds. This appears to happen in certain areas of the country according to Tech Support as they have problems with some whom requested a withdrawal in February also
In Checking with E-Services they show no problem on one that was Scheduled for 2/10/12 and dont understand why the form 9325 in Pro Series is checking Box 5 instead of 4
It would appear that Pro Services has fixed this problem finally
