I would like to offer customers the opportunity to do their own taxes online, similar to what taxactline and turbo tax offer. Can someone recommend an approve software. Any comments/suggestions on how to do this? Is there anyone who currently doing this with their website? Please let me know. Thanks

nancy... were you able to find anything that you could use on your website? Although it's getting later in the season, I think it's a good alternative for some peoople that would like to do their own taxes but want a professional to review them prior to submission.

This is a service I planned to offer next tax season in efforts to save taxpayers money. I don't see a problem with TaxAct or TurboTax, although I prefer TaxAct.
My plans were to have computers set up for customers to use. I would charge them for reviewing the return before submitting it for e-file and any other assistance I will actually provide (printing, efiling, tax planning,etc.). Another way to charge may be for computer use like Kinkos does. It will still be significantly less than the national chains and you'll be there for assistance.
