I've got a 2006 amended 1120S. Under screen 3.1, Amended Return, I've got the explanation of changes entered. When I print, it appears as "Explanation of Changes on an Amended Return."
Where is it in the Forms tab, so I can review without printing?
(And why do I only have 250 characters to ask my question originally, but more than 7,000 characters when I get to the screen right before posting?)
You are correct that when you amend a Form 1120S, there is not a separate form like a Form 1040X. When you put an explanation of the changes into Lacerte screen 3.1, the explanation will print on a separate page (like a statement). On the forms tab, you should be able to see your explanation by looking for "Amended Explanation" in the list of forms available to view. It should be after the forms that have numbers and near the beginning of the forms that have words describing them.

Unfortunately, while you are absolutely correct about the existence and placement of that statement in 2007 and 2008, it's not in the list in the Forms tab in the 2006 1120S package. It appears that for 2006, the only way to see it is to print.
