The best practice would be to have these taxable benefits added to the employee's pay cheques as they are earned. I would use a Company Contribution type item.
If you've already accounted for the benefit costs elsewhere, you always have the option to manually adjust the employee's T4. When you are on the Process End Of Year Forms window, select the Amend radio button then click Review. When you are on the Review T4 window, can can double click the desired box and add your adjustment.
