Allocating State Tax Refund Between Spouses

Lacerte

How do you allocate a state tax refund between spouses if they filed MFJ last year and MFS this year. I see where to enter the allocating percentage but it is not changing the amount of taxable refund.

Latest post

The Allocation Percentage only affects the married filing joint/ married filing separate worksheet. The allocation will not affect the amount that shows on the 1040 return.
