"Align" function for W2 and W3 forms doesn't work

Yes I have the same problem, I am on the phone with QB support but they can't seem to figure it out. Have you gotten this to work yet?

Angie, I've been waiting for the year end updates to come out, in case that makes any difference. Please let me know if QB support is able to figure this out. If this doesn't work at all, the alternative is to print the forms on blank paper. I'm leaning towards this option at this point.

I didn't think IRS would like it on blank paper, but that was our conclusion too. QB Support said the W2's for 2008 won't be available until the end of the month (even though it says it is available now on the help screens). I am going to wait until month end and see.

I tried to print the w2's on blank paper, but it still says 2007 at the top, so that won't work.

glazing1, there is a payroll update that's supposed to come out mid to late December, which will have the 2008 forms. Once you download that update, forms will print out with 2008 instead of 2007. Before that comes out, there's nothing we can do at this point. Hopefully they'll come out with that update sooner rather than later.
