Adding an Item to an invoice
Can I add an item that will charge a percent of the invoice total? Such as adding a 1% Fuel surcharge.

The solution
Yes
create an other charge item called fuel surcharge, set the rate to 1% (include the % sign) select an income account
on the invoice if there is more than one item that the sur charge applies to list a sub total item and then the surcharge item.
other charge items when used as a % only work on the item above it
