I sometimes pay our 941 taxes with a credit card. I use Quickbooks ONLINE, not DESKTOP and use their payroll system. How can I record the payroll tax payment so that it recognizes that I did pay the taxes and I can file my 941 form?
The way that you would record the payment in QuickBooks Online Payroll is by going to the Employees tab>Taxes & Forms>Enter Prior Tax History and Add Payment. That will ask for the payment details along with the tax period it was applied to. That will also reduce the amount of taxes due.
