709 release date?
Was hoping the 709 would be available with the 3/3/11 download, but no luck. (: Is there an anticipated release date when we'll have the form ready?

If Lacerte can get it out a week after IRS releases it, I think that's pretty good.

Major releases are generally on Thursdays, so the week is not up YET!

4/14/2011 Go to Lacerte Updates and the 709 is there.Even though I had Updates "enabled" on my options, I did not have the 709 update until the Help guy said the 709 was already out!

The update does not fix the error with Schedule B for prior gifts.

When you enter the gift on screen 9.1 and 9.2 the amounts look correct in the input but do not carry forward correctly on the government forms.
