why would there be a 414H in box 14 of a New Jersey W-2 no income for New York

New York isn't the only place in the world with 414H's. A client of mine works for Rutgers and gets the 414H listed someplace on his W2, routinely.

Back up before it's too late. For a professional answer, call Tech Support at 1-800-933-9999 (Lacerte)(other numbers ProSeries, QB, or TurboTax). I am a volunteer, not compensated or supported by Intuit.
