Going to NY's website, might give a clue. By the way, when you ask a question on the forum, and it doesn't show up instantaneously on your screen, it will probably show up 3-4 minutes later. Sometimes people post twice, thinking the first one didn't go thru. (Then, of course, it shows up right after that.)
In any event, if NY's website has no current form, software developers can't possibly have it. If the state website DOES have it, then it's a question of, how fast can the software developer get their forms approved by the state? So that might take a week, 10 days, 2 weeks, who knows?

I have checked the NYS website and both the IT-204 & CT-3-S say they have been released for over a week yet Lacerte indicates that the form has yet to be released. What is going on here?

I have checked the NYS Web-site and it appears that most if not all the forms are ready. The real question is when is Lacerte going to have them ready. According to them it may be after Feb 9 not even the update being pushed out tomorrow.
I am going to get responses that it takes time and one needs approval. It appears that Lacerte is always a day late and a dollar short. This is typical so much so that in the past 2 years before this they would boast about how fast they have gotten forms ready and approved. This was in direct response to a few years ago when they were behind the curve ot other Tax Prep services. It appears they have dropped the ball again.
To quiet the people who are going to say quit bi...ing and moaning . Why are you with Lacerte if they are so bad.. Well since I payed for this year I will stay and then explore my options for my extensions. Will another service be better? I will find out.
