Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

1065 closes his business on March 2011 .

Partnership closed on march 31, 2011 - How can I report the final return on Lacerte? I filed the 2010 return so how can I import the information on the final return ?

You can copy and rename the file in the 2010 program.  You will need to delete, re-enter data as appropriate.  You will not have a pro forma return.  You will need to enter short year dates of Jan 1, 2011- March 2011 closing date.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

Susan is correct. When I copied and renamed, I always worked on the original file to avoid having to pay REP for each one. Original is client XXXX. I copy that to Client XXXX-10 and keep that as the 2010 copy. When finished I copy the 2011 to Client XXXX-11. If I later need to review or amend, you can simply rename the appropriate copy to Client XXXX and process.

Hmm??? Could I have been clearer when I asked that question? Did I mark the question solved after it was answered?

The water from the pressure wash must have been too hot ---------- that post appears to have shrunk from its original size.
