Error Message ID 1127

Has anyone encountered error message ID 1127 when the FORMS tab is activated to process a return? I have had it pop up several times and the only way that I have found to continue processing the return and to display forms is to exit the program and restart.Is there a easier way?

I'm getting the same message when preparing an 1120. Very frustrating. Any one know why this is happening.

There are dozens of things that could potentially cause this error message. However, most of them are usually memory related. Several things to consider:

memory (amount)
memory resident programs
virus software
uninstall/reinstall
possibly corruption in the client file (depending on the contents of the error message)

You may want to call and speak with a specialist as again, there are several factors and several different approaches to reslove.

The smarter we get, the more dangerous we become.

I took your advice and called technical support at Lacerte. After two phone calls and an hour of time wasted, there is no change in my problem. Do you have any other suggestions?

I have been having the same problem also. Finally got ahold of systems escalation at support. He got it fixed for me. He said it was a RAM problem. I have 1 gig, he said that is their minimum and would suggest I stick another 1 gig of ram in it.

What he did to fix it was to change how much RAM, java was using in lacerte. When he lowered that number, it worked.

I've had this problem with both the 2008 AND 2009 programs.  Lacerte needs to bring more resources to this problem.  It is unacceptable that this continue.  Currently, in order to work around this problem, Lacerte software requires that both my system printer and Lacerte printer settings point to the same laser printer.  So now, when I want to print something from a different program, I have to select the old system printer.  Support has been mostly helpful but the downtime this has caused is a deal breaker.  I've used Lacerte since 1992 but I'm in the process of switching to TaxWorks.  I've explained all of this and more to Lacerte because I'd rather not switch but there seems to be little interest on Lacerte's part in fixing the the problem.  On top of all that Lacerte's pricing is WAY higher than the competition.  Makes me think they are phasing out the Lacerte product and milking the remaining customers along the way.
