DMs and Anti-Virus Software

I'm running DMS and Lacerte on our server. We have four work stations beside the server. During tax season , we noticed that our anti virus software slowed down DMS dramatically. We are using CA eTrust. Now when I have more time, I would like to change the anti-virus software. Can you please share with me your thoughts about DMS and your antivirus S/W?

While I can't help with AV recommendations, I will tell you that regardless of what you choose (we use Trend here) that MAKE SURE you set your exclusions on the server AND workstations to not scan the database directory. It can cause those slowdowns and eventually database corruption.

Our firm uses Symantec Endpoint and has no problems, even without leaving such gaping holes open. As always, the larger the file you try to open/save, the more resource (system, server, and network) sensitive the transfer will be.
