Importing and exporting work fine (it's everything in between you need to watch.)

If you have a lower volume of files coming through, and you are not using DMS for storage of production line work, it should be fine without having to worry about integrating cheaper solutions. However, DMS has not joined nearly every other solution out there in SQL-land. So if you plan to do anything more than dead-dropping files and not expecting to need them again except for reference next year, do your homework and be ready to pull the trigger before the 30-day trial period ends.
