Documents Disappear

I tried to move some documents from one folder to another. Now they don't show up but when I search for them using "find documents" it says they are there under a nonexistant folder. I was able to find the files using Internet Explorer so the files are still there but they don't show up. I tried repairing the database but that did not help.
