Constant DMS error

Hello,I have been encountering this problem with DMS for over a month now, and I am at my wits end on how to fix it.When I open access my database through DMS, and try to click on a pdf file saved under a client, I encounter the following error:DMS PDF VIEWERDBISAM ENGINE ERROR #11010 Table or backup file 'DATA01A' does not exist. The only option it gives me to click OK, which brings me back to the main DMS screen. It will not allow me to view the PDF file unless I right click on it and click "Launch Outside of DMS".Besides using that backdoor way around it, the only other way I can get this fixed is to do a repair/rebuild/reindex of the database through DMS.Some notes:--DMS is located on a server that all other workstations access through a network drive.--Under recommendation, I excluded the Lacerte/DMS file from real time scans by our virus scanner.--This error message happens on multiple workstations, with no known reason. The programs we usually have running when this occurs are Outlook,Excel, and Lacerte 2007.Any advice? Please help! It really slows the companys productivity down when I have to make sure all 13 people exit DMS so that I can do a rebuild on the database. Thanks,Lonnie

What exactly are you excluding from your virus scans?

I am excluding the /Lacerte/DMS folder (and all of its contents) that contains the database. I was told to do this by a Lacerte Support Staffer over the phone.

From a tester here:

"I would have him check to make sure the DATA01A does exist when the error happens. As soon as it he gets the error browse to the data dir and make sure the file is there. I?m guessing it is and just getting corrupt somehow. However, if it?s not then maybe we need to look into how he is backing up. If maybe somehow this file is being moved or removed via automated backup/employee, etc.

If it is there then maybe see if there is any consistency?s with the machines that have the problem. Is it the same few machines every time, etc. If so check virus scans, firewall software, etc. Other than that not sure, if DBREPAIR is fixing it each time though, something is causing a corruption pretty consistently."

Another option is to go into the options and disable the DMS PDF viewer. Then every PDF will open with whatever they open with when you do "launch outside."

Hope this helps. You may want to try tech if nothing else helps.
