Hi there:I am posting this on behalf of a client, Roth & Merritt CPA in Fairlawn, NJ (I am their computer support rep.) - they use the Lacerte Tax Planner software and currently have it installed on a Novell server. I am looking to move them to a Nitix server (www.nitix.com) and had a few questions about the Lacerte software:1) What are the requirements when installing this software? Does it require .NET services, MSDE (Desktop SQL server support) or Windows SQL server running on the Lan.2) Do this application support "FlatFile" database (Non OS Dependant) or SQL Database Dependant which is tied into Active Directory?3)Does the software require OPLOCKS options enabled? Thanks in advance for any assistance regarding this matter.John8F Consulting
