Workflow for scanning

Using a non-Twain compliant Fujitsu Scan-snap scanner that scans directly into DMS - in the past we have scanned W-2s, 1099's, etc. in separately to a client file in order to make them easy to find (when clients call in needing a copy). If I understood program this morning you are recommending scanning ALL documents for a client - or multiple clients - into a "source document" file and the new software will parcel these out based on SSN? Or will this only work if using one of the Twain compliant scanners? Thank you.
Hello Joe, I'm the Lacerte product manager working on this new product. Thank you for your excellent question. There are two parts to your question: First, you can scan in multiple documents for one or multiple clients and save it as a single file. If you choose to scan in multiple clients at one time, be sure to sort the documents by client and that the first page is a supported format. Secondly, the Scansnap S500 which has been set up for DMS Configuration will work well with Source Doc Auto-Entry. You will scan your documents in DMS like you do today and then open the DMS files in Source Doc Auto-Entry. Thank you for your interest in this product, Kathy Kirkendal
I think I saw a workaround somewhere on the DMS support site that will allow DMS to find my non-twain scanner.
Could you please refresh my memory?
