Windows Services Shutdown when opening EasyACCT

I'm having an issue with a single Windows XP Pro SP2 machine where I performed updates to the video card driver and intel chipset drivers. After performing these updates, invoking the Easy program causes every active Windows service to inform me it is being shutdown. After all of these services shutdown, Easy still does not operate properly and, as expected, the workstation in general is not very happy.I have uninstalled the program, performed a registry clean, and then reinstalled the program, but I am getting the same results.I guess what I'm looking for is the preferred method for completely wiping out Easy off of a machine, after which I will then roll back a couple of the driver updates I performed, and then reinstall to see if that clears it up.More importantly, I'm trying to figure out what conflict is causing Easy to shutdown other services while it is trying to start.Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing the video card is based on an nVidia chipset?

Easy does not play nice with the classic/legacy nView settings (and per Intuit "nVidia is getting rid of this program, so we are not concerned" ... despite the newest business class multi-monitor cards using those features as a selling point) and hasn't for a few years now. All you can do is flip legacy, make any changes you need, set it back to the new control panel, and restart the computer.

nView will still close when EasyACCT starts, so make sure not to activate any title-bar icons, or it will cause the cascading failure among any programs running before starting Easy. You might be able to get away with running Easy first, but there will usually be something out there that will get you eventually.

I know this is an old post, but i have had good luck using easyacct with my new nvidia dual video card by simply shutting down the nView Desktop Manager  before i start easyacct.  Once easyacct is open, i go into the control panel and enable the Desktop Manager.  Seems to be working fine now.
