open paid bill to delete it I am new and have done six months of paid bill entering wrong!

If you delete a paid bill, you need to consider the bill payment check will now be orphaned.

If you tell us what seems to be wrong, maybe we can suggest something less drastic to make corrections.

I need to assign check numbers and I don't have that option since I payed them in pay bills.

You always have this option, you missed the step is all. After paying bills, the checks can be seen in the banking account register. There you can type over whatever numbers are showing, put in the real numbers.

Everything is always under your control without deleting and redoing work. There's no reason to do work twice.

Use the Help menu > Learning Center tutorials; take a class. It's not hard, but if you don't know what you are doing, you will make it hard.
