Why are items duplicated on income statement and some items on income statment not showing up on sales by customer?

This usually happens because you are not using the "Undeposited Funds" account properly.  If you are using sales forms (Invoices or Sales Receipts) for the sale and then not using "Receive Payments" when they pay, you could be duplicating the income.  One way to see if this is your problem is by running the Accounts Receivable Aging report and seeing if a lot of sales items appear there that you have been paid for.

Fixing this can be difficult without using the right tool and method.  If you have QuickBook for Accountants there is a tool in the Client Data Review area that can help you.

I suggest you review the above and see if you can figure out what the problem is and if you can fix it.  If not, please post again.
