Lost all '08 bank reconcile info when backing up to new hard drive from flash. also update from '04 to '09 version.

HELP! installed new hard drive,backed up data from flash drive. TROUBLE. It did not carry over reconcile of any of '08 bank stmts.All repo

rts are now changed for tax return. '04-'07 are fine but '08 is not, what happened? I have also lost into oblivion all data for July 14- October 1st of this year. Now I have to re-load all transactions for our business. Everything is so messed up since loading 09 version.
