2008 Proseries 1040 50% Cost increase for same product.

Intuit claims a $100 discount and $150 off E-filing when in reality it's up from $999 to 1299. Last year there was no charge for efiling so there really is NO discount. And then last year Client checklist etc came with the Proseries product at no additional cost. This year charging $299. So same product cost rose up $600 less $100 totaling $1500 before sales tax when last year cost was $999. An increase of 50% is outrageous! I can not raise my prices to my clients 50%! And I have been a customer since 1987. 21 years of loyalty gets one zip. It was called Chipsoft back then, bought out by Turbo Tax and then bought out by Intuit. This is why I never recommend the product to my colleagues. There is no way to know what next year will cost.
