Printing to DMS creates a new folder

When I print a return from Pro Series Professional to DMS, instead of sending the file to the existing folder, DMS creates a new folder and sends the data to it instead. I end up with two folders, one containing the tax return and another with everything else.Is this a program bug or something I've got set up wrong on my computer?

This happens when the client in DMS only has a client number and no other information.
DMS can only recognize a client file being imported in if that client has at least a name, number and a tax ID.

You can click on the client in DMS then the client information tab and hit edit then input a name and tax ID that corresponds with the proseries client's information and it will not duplicate.

Thanks, I discovered this after half an hour on the phone with someone from tech support. This only has happened once. It was a client for whom I had printed a tax return to DMS in the prior year. I never did figure out what caused the DMS information to be deleted.

Is there a way to import clients information on an individual basis for only those clients whose client information has disappeared or must it all be retyped?
If we reimport all proseries clients will it cause all stored documents to disappear also?

I don't know of a way to do it to determine which clients do not have all of the information but sending all of the clients to DMS will cause duplicate clients.
