DMS and Proseries Basic
Total Views: 1,212
Silly question but can a tax return be sent as a pdf to DMS from Proseries Basic or is DMS not compatible with Proseries basic?
you could choose the dms pdf printer in proseries basic and it should send over the pdf to dms
When I try to use the DMS PDF printer it does ok doing the filing instrructions, client billk and first form. It then gives an error trying to dxo each subsequent form and I have to cancel iut of it.
Is that a DMS program error?
"DMS encountered a program error. Trys closing and restarting DMS. If the problem persists, please contact Technical Support."
It then gives me the option to see the Details of the eror which follow:

2.5 Message: Cannot open file C:ProgramDataIntuitDMSTemp.pdf
When looking at that part of your error message, it looks like one of the pdfs you are sending does not have a full file name. Watch the prompts you get while saving and see if it shows a .pdf instead of say 1040.pdf
That is exactly what it does! When the error occurs, the file name reads .pdf with no form name.
as a workaround, you could print to a third party pdf driver then drag and drop the pdf file into dms (the program itself)
What version of DMS are you currently running?
You can find that out by clicking help then about dms
