DMS Freezes when Scan Button is Pressed

After installing DMS to a Dell system with a Dell 962 AIO and updating DMS to the latest version, DMS Freezes when I click ont he Scan Button or try and have DMS scan from the Menu. I have to end DMS in the Task Manager of Windows XP Pro SP2. ProSeries Tech Support representative after placing me on hold for a while told me to uninstall and reinstall the Dell AIO and its software. I did that and it did not help. Any suggestions?

right click on the shortcut on your desktop then select properties
in the target field you should see this
"C:Program FilesIntuitDMSDMS.EXE"

type in -filescanner one space after the last quotation.

now it should look like this
"C:Program FilesIntuitDMSDMS.EXE" -filescanner

hit apply and ok, double click the icon to start the program and hit scan.
you should be able to see your scanners at this point.

This is kind of off-topic, Chris_Intuit, but do you know of any other switches or options for DMS.EXE besides -filescanner?

We've tried to automate some of our processes by using scripts and batch files, but haven't come across any documented switches or optional parameters when running DMS.EXE from the command line.

Just curious. Thanks.

That switch was specially made due to the bug with dms not being able to open the scan screen because of too many scanner drivers installed.
There are no other switches currently
