CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS WORKSHEET
WHEN ENTERING CONTRIBUTIONS, PRO SERIES BASIC WILL UTILIZE A MEMORIZED ENTRY FEATURE. THIS IS OK FOR CHARITY NAMES, IT IS NOT OK FOR AMOUNTS. When entering contributions, PROSERIES BASIC utilizes a "memorized entry" feature to reduce data entry. This is OK for charity names. It is NOT OK for amounts to be entered. For example, if a prior entry was American Cancer Society, the memorized feature will display the full name after entering only a few characters. If an amount entered earlier equalled 100, an entry for 10 will display 100 if not aware the system is doing this for you. This error is detected when proofing. The software should be changed to avoid costly errors.
