I think it depends on your target marketing and marketing methods.  I teach monthly QB seminars (for the past 8 years) and they are usually always full (except in July & August).  They class sizes are relatively small (14-15) since it is a hands on class (with each person on a computer).  It is a good marketing tool too for getting new clients and/or referrals.  After you've taught the class, they respect your knowledge and may call you for help or refer other potential clients to you.  But, I think it is important to not come across as 'salesy' (is that a word?) during the class (ie let your knowledge speak for itself and have business cards available when they ask for them).

Do you have a sample outline you could share on the classes you do? Have you developed your own teaching materials or do you use the outline Intuit provides or The Sleeter Group has?

I started with the training materials provided by Intuit to ProAdvisors and modified it over the years.  I teach the Intro class every month, and about every other month we have the Intermediate workshop, QB for Contractors, and a few POS classes.  The Sleeter Group now offers seminar materials to their members, but I haven't seen the materials.
