I was wondering how many of you do bookkeeping on location at the client sites. How has this worked out for you? Do you bill by the hour? Is working on location at the client site an expectation?How receptive are clients to you performing the work in your office? How do you bill when you work off location at your office? Is it by the hour?
I do bookkeeping on location for some clients. For these I bill by the hour. It's not an expectation, just a preference for some. When I work at my location, I bill by the transaction.

I do bookkeeping on location, and I charge a flat fee per month based on the approximate number of hours per week and how many times a month. It seems to work out pretty well. If they need more than that, I will do an hourly fee.
