when I pull up income by customer their are a few jobs that it did not subtract the cost of goods. Where did I go wrong?

Hi sigyt,
I assume you mean the income by customer summary report.
The cost of goods sold should be subtracted when an invoice is recorded. Drill down on the income for a customer and see if invoices are listed and if debit amounts are shown. If yes, then there debits should include COGS subtractions.
If no debits, then you may not have your items set up or are using them correctly.
