Can I upgrade from a Customer manager v2 that is on my desktop? Is it related?
Customer Manager OnlineWe have Quickbooks Customer Manager v2 on a desktop. Is this a newer version of that? If so, can we upgrade to this version?

Hi AspenLinda,
Customer Manager is a new online offering from Intuit. Although it shares some features of the original Customer Manager v2, it is not the next version. For more information about the differences between the two products, check out this post on the Customer Manager Blog.
Some key differences include: Customer Manager offers a great multi-user experience, seamless sync with QuickBooks, Outlook &Excel/.csv import, and a mobile version for your smartphone!

I have version 2.5 at this time. I would like to get started with the online version. What are the steps ? I saw in an email that we can send our 2.5 contact list to an excel or csv file and then import to the online version of Customer Manager, is this right ? If so, I am ready. What about all the data and notes in each contact, will this be lost? Is it best to wait until the 2.5v can be entirely imported with the notes as well or first import the data from the csv or excel file?
I also would like to know if I must buy Quickbooks 2009 in order to begin using Customer Manager on line, I currently have Quickbooks 2007, but I do not use it with Customer Manager at all. Customer Manager 2.5 v is used for sales leads and Quickbooks is used for current customers.
