The program shut down while I was in a company file and now the account records, employee records, and bank account records appear to be gone. The transaction files are still there for each month.

If your data is stored on a network drive, I strongly recommend rebooting that machine first.  Next open the program, return to the company and run a Data File Index Repair.  To do so:

  1. Go to Write-Up, Data File Utilities, Data File Index Repair.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Answer Yes to Rebuild Files.
  4. Repeat for each affected module (Batch Payroll, Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, etc.)
