importing IIF from 3rd party POS

When I try to import an IIf file I get an error message :"Quick books has stopped working" no other information. Any thoughts?

IIF imports are not advisable by Intuit itself. It is better write a Intuit SDK program by send this into Quick Books. Please let me know if this helps you.
