PS Basic - Why no Print Preview option??
ProSeries : 2008ProSeries Basic does not have a Print Preview function/option, so as far as I can tell, there's no way to see what the actual tax return (or a specific form) will look like without actually printing a copy.
My question is - why was this left out of PS Basic? "Slowing the program" shouldn't be an issue, because it would only be displayed on demand. Also, you CAN get a print preview of the billing invoice (Tools->Billing->View Invoice), so adding a tax return print preview option wouldn't be adding any brand-new functionality or severe programming complications. The functionality is already there - it's as if Intuit is actually BLOCKING the user's ability to view a preview version of the return.
Seems silly, right? (Or is there a reason?)
[One workaround is to download a pdf printer driver and somehow trick PS Basic into printing to a pdf file, but this is complicated and time-consuming and SHOULD be altogether unnecessary!]
