I have been using Quickbooks from last 5 years.As my business is expanding, i have installed Quickbooks POS but the reports generated in quickbooks previously couldnt be updated like sales by item summary and item detail.Some of the reports generated in POS are somewhat similiar to the one in quickbooks but not the same. Furthermore, the items newly entered into POS could not be find in quickbooks.
POS is an inventory management program, not a financial reporting program. All of the inventory related reports will be run out of POS, not QBF. So your sales reports, inventory reports and purchase reports will now run off of the data in POS. Your management reports and financial reports will be in QBF. You will no longer be running inventory detail in QBF because that is why you have the POS program. The two programs work together so that the end result financial reports in QBF should give you the overview and the POS reports give you the detail. The item detail will not transfer over to QBF, that is why you set up all of the detail in POS.

Tell me if where should i update new inventory purchased either in QB or POS, because the items newly entered into POS could'nt be found in QB and the result is my QB reports are not updated.
