Right now, there are only the 4 webinars and PDFs, but they cover the topics for all the questions.

I will be teaching an 8 hour seminar next week in Orlando called 'Preparing for QuickBooks Advanced Certification Exam'.  You can get more info at www.sleeter.com

PLEASE mark this answer as solved (click the button under the answer in the lower, right corner) or post additional questions.

Are the questions in the same order for everyone?  I do have to say I understand that the test needs to be hard but this is ridiculous.  The wording on the questions are very tricky, a lawyer must have written them.  As for the test question #17 payroll - First, the quickbooks file is wrong.  The pay period is for 2007 and the check date is 2011 what's with that.  Second, am I suppose to know CA state taxes?  Third,  I could be off a penny in rounding taxes how am I suppose to know that.   I just wanted to voice my thoughts.

Many thanks,

Do you mean the Adv Cert logo?  If you use the same login/email, it should update for you automatically.  If not, click on the contact us or email them and ask them to fix it.

Pink is the "closest match" for the ProAdvisor search.

Check yourself out.

KTOP -

Being Pink isn't a badge, it's determine uniquely on every search. So for some searches you might be a "closest match" and on others you might not.

We determine closest match, and the ranking on the site by the following factors (in order of importance)

  • Distance (which is the biggest reason someone will be a closest match on some searches and not others)
  • Advanced Certification
  • Ratings (Quantity and Quality both matter)
  • Current Year Certification
  • Additional Certification
  • Photo

In situations where a user is looking for retail or enterprise solutions help, having the appropriate certifcation will be the most important factor with the rest of the factors still applying as well.

Hope this helps!

I appreciate your reply but I must admit that with my search it doesn't seem to be the case.

distance:  from my house and I have someone in another area in my search

Advanced Certification:  I am this

Ratings: I have no one rating me but I do think this is subjective.

Current Certification:  Couldn't be more current on my certs

Additional Certification:  If that field is left blank how is that a search factor?

KTOP -

I hear your feedback.  We determine closest match based on how many of the criteria you meet.  If you don't have a lot of prior certifications or ratings, or you distance is more than a few miles you probably won't get the closest match.

My advice is to get yourself rated and you'll find yourself getting higher in the search results, and possibly get the closest match.
