A client accepts a 25% deposit for advertising contracts and and wants to bill the balance in three monthly installments. Is there an easy way to do that?

I would use bill from estimate process with progress billing preference turned on. You can then pull up the estimate and bill the portions you want when they are due to be invoiced.
