Material for teaching QB classes

I am a CPA and a Certified QB ProAdvisor in Oregon, and I have started teaching QB through the local Small Business Development Center. I taught "Introduction to QB" in the summer - very succesful - using the Intuit materials available on the ProAdvisor website. I did not modify the materials in any way for that class, but now I have some ideas about how to make them more effective. I will be teaching the same class again starting next week, and I want to modify the Intuit materials. Is there any reason not to do this? I will call Intuit to make sure, but I'm also wondering if others have any issues with Intuit about making changes to their teaching materials. Also, does anyone have experience teaching from the Sleeter textbooks?

I have used the sleeter materials over the last 5 years or so. I give about two seminars a year in the area. I really like the materials and the workbooks for the participants are terrific. Occassionally I add a slide or mix and match to make the presentation the way that I like it.

I've been teaching QB seminars for our local SBDC almost every month for the past 8 years. Like you, I used the Intuit materials for the first seminar. Since then, I have modified and customized the material over the years. but I still use many of the same exercises and Rock Castle data file.
