If I add 2009 assets into 2008 Lacerte will it carry them forward when the client file is proforma'd to 2009?

I have done that before, just ignore all the error messages that say the asset PIS date is after the tax year end.
As it gets closer to tax season, I wish I had some hair to pull out.
