DMS problems: after re-installing DMS gives error message when we try to use the program.
The following is part of the details.
2.5 Message: Access violation at address 715A2F5C in module 'AcLayers.DLL'. Read of address 0413EC4C.
Finally called Lacerte helpline and after an hour got a solution and thought for those of you who are having the same issue this might help:
Here is an answer for those of you who reach an EAccess violation error message -
Try:
1. Right click on DMS icon
2. Click on 'Properties'
3. Click on 'Compatability' tab.
4. Make sure the compatability mode is set for your whichever windows program you are using. Or unclick the check box next to "Run this program in compatability mode for:" (Then DMS will run compatabile to whichever program your windows is in. This works if your in Windows XP.)
